Inactivity

Haven't done anything positive for a while. I was laid low with the flu and subsequent fatigue for a couple of weeks. Then Ronald was here for a week.

Need to get back in a routine soon.

Sick

Went up Chancellor this morning - hamstring pain kicking in, did a little stretch at the top but not much.

Came down with one of my instant colds today - including the chills. Took a couple comptrex severe cold - hope it takes care of it because I want to head to Mayaro tomorrow.

Just took my bp - 140/96, 116 - pretty high but not taken under ideal conditions.

Bought a six month supply of micardis today.

Post planting

After yesterday's seed planting in Mayaro I am just beginning to feel some hamstring effect - I need to get up Chancellor to get a good stretch out.

Used the omron for the first time this morning - 135/90 pulse 67

Guess I'll take a reading every week

Made it up Chancellor again this morning - still around 34 min, no real burn but as usual i did some good thinking on the way

Got the bp monitor today - just about to check it out

The blog was down for a while because it had been flagged as a spam site and was disabled. In the interim I've gone up Chancellor a couple more times and ordered a bp monitor which should arrive by tomorrow.

Taking the micardis without any negative reaction.

Chancellor, BP, tetanus etc

Went up Chancellor again this morning after a lull of a few days - made it up in around the standard 34 minutes but without much of a burn - I guess I need to up the pace a bit - maybe jog the last section.

Got a tetanus booster today - need it for handling the fowl manure etc - should be good for at least 5 yrs (10 nominal)

Roger recommended that I go on medication for hypertension - I was at 130/90 which is borderline and he said that kidney damage is likely to be hapenning. Prescribed Micardis but I've found some negative reviews online.
